Rising welterweight Eimantas Stanionis looked like a man that the reigning world welterweight titlists should keep an eye on even though his Fox televised 10 rounder with former WBA world titleholder Luis Collazo ended in a no-decision due to a deep cut to Collazo's right eye.
A rematch is unlikely to happen as Collazo insists that he is retiring after a stellar 21-year career, not that he wouldn't be able to win fights at a high level at the age of 40-years-old, he simply feels that now is the right time to bow out of the sport that he loves.
Collazo won the WBA world welterweight title (back when there was only one titlist) from Jose Antonio Rivera in the champion's hometown, Worcester, Massachusetts in April 2005. He made his first defence at home in Chicago against former WBC world lightweight champion Miguel Angel Gonzalez and then lost his belt to Ricky Hatton.
