Manny Pacquiao, a rising star in the boxing world, faced off against Emmanuel Lucero in a defense of his International Boxing Federation super bantamweight title on July 26, 2003. The fight took place at the Olympic Auditorium in Los Angeles, California, and was promoted by Main Events. Pacquiao, weighing in at 120 lbs, faced off against Lucero, who weighed in at 121 lbs.

The first round saw Lucero starting strong, attacking Pacquiao aggressively. However, Pacquiao quickly countered and began wearing down Lucero with his excellent technique. In the second round, Lucero once again started attacking early on, but he was not fast enough to outmatch Pacquiao, who continued to dominate the fight.

In the third round, Pacquiao unleashed a barrage of punches, knocking Lucero down. Though Lucero managed to get back up, Pacquiao quickly resumed his attack, forcing the referee to stop the fight at 0:48 into the round. Pacquiao won the fight by TKO, successfully defending his IBF World Super Bantamweight Title for the fourth time.

Lucero, who had an undefeated record of 21-0-1 prior to the fight, was no match for Pacquiao's speed, technique, and relentless aggression.
